True Nature by Willow Madison 5 Stars!

True Nature (True, #1)True Nature by Willow Madison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

True Nature is one of the best books I’ve read all year. Books like this one is one of the reasons I am thankful for Indie authors. The imagination and heart in this book is something I haven’t seen in 99 percent of what is put out by the publishing houses. This book is not PC and I love it. It is unapologetic and absolutely a five star read I could not stop reading.

I fell in love with Max right along with Lucy. He charmed me even as he made a shiver go up and down my spine. I felt almost afraid for Lucy as the story went on and I have to say, the end shocked the living mess right out of me. I loved it.

I finished the book and then thought about it. I thought about it for a long time and I have to admit that if the book had shied away from what it was leading up to be, it would have made the book weaker. Nothing is written here just for shock value, it is all very raw but necessary to tell us the story of Max and Lucy.

It is absolutely a love story. If you enjoy books that give you unvarnished truth, you will enjoy this book. If you enjoy books that do not shy from the hard subjects, give this one a go, I guarantee it will entertain you.

I went through a gamut of emotions with this book and I finished knowing that Max is an Alpha male in the truest sense of the word but he is also a hard man to understand. I might not agree with his actions but the heroine of this story, Lucy, she fell for him as he was and for her, he was perfect.

Remember, this is a love story. It might not be your love story or my love story, but it is beautiful. It is the story of Max and Lucy. If you keep an open mind and take deep breaths, you might even find yourself rooting for Max... I know I did.

“What about you. Are you in danger?”
I level an expectant look on him, silently demanding an answer.
“Only from being talked to death.”
“Oh don’t be such a grumpy bear!” I click my tongue at him. Gave him a good frown. Scolded, “You represent bear shifters and the United Shifters Alliance. Do you really want to give the impression that all bears who are also agents of the Alliance are grumps?”
His shoulders flinch and he squints at me sidelong. Wariness wafts from him to my nose, pungent. Did I mention bunnies have superior sniffers?
“Let’s get you dry.” I pull a towel from the linen closet. Give my grumpy bear a forgiving smile. Hop behind him. Praise while I pat him dry, “Such wide shoulders! And your skin just glows! May I ask what soap you use? Most commercial soaps dry my skin so badly, I have to use a special made bar that’s so expensive! But I can add any scent I want, which is very nice. My current bar is lavender. Do you think it smells good?”
I round his side as I finish speaking and thrust one hand up to his nose. He blinks down at it, then stares me in the eye. “You’re an odd duck.”
I gasp as outrage blows a frigid wind through me. I puff my chest and open my mouth. Out comes a bellow, “I’m a bunny, not a duck!”
“It’s a figure of speech,” he bellows back and wowsa, but he packs a wallop. I touch my hair to be sure it isn’t blowing in the wind of his impressive breath control! I really need to work on my bellow if his can blow mine out of the water in such a dramatic fashion. And oh, boy howdy, did my vajayjay sit up and take notice. Such dominance!
“Oh.” Lips pursed, I gaze studiously to the side. Mustn't reveal my hand too soon in the game. “Well then.”
“My apologies,” he says stiffly. “You startled me.”
“Oh no, don’t apologize!” I wave a hand. Heap the guilt. “Entirely my fault. I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions.”

That's it... Thanks for visiting!

We Were One Once: Book 2 by Willow Madison 5 Fantastic Stars

we were one once: book 2we were one once: book 2 by Willow Madison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What is the mark of a good book for me? Answer: I don’t want to put it down even long enough to eat a chocolate bar and I love me some chocolate now. What is the mark of a great book? Answer: It has the mark of a good book AND it has me thinking about it well after I have turned the last page and read the last word. The characters stay with me. The story stays with me. I carry it to bed with me and snuggle it. Then I dream about it… lol.

Willow Madison has done it again. She wrote a book that made me cry. It made me laugh. It made me thump my kindle (on a pillow, calm down, I didn’t break it, haha). It made me scream and my hubby had to give me the *look* that says, “You are a nut but I love you still.”.

Let us talk about Simon. About Miles. And Grace, my beautiful, beautiful Grace. She went through so much, she broke my heart. Simon broke my heart when he felt broken but then he rallied as I knew he would. I freaking cheered, did a little dance, too, when he got his head on straight. Miles… well, I wanted to break something of his, all right. But luckily, so did my Simon. And since my Simon is so darn good at breaking things, I’m content to let him do the job with no interference from moi.

I hope I’m not leaving spoilers here, I don’t want to spoil this treat for anyone. I enjoyed this book so darned much, I couldn’t imagine not shouting it to everyone. I truly adore Simon. He stole the show for me with how much he was willing to do for his Grace. His Red. Oh yeah, Red. She freaking ROCKS!!! I love Red, I’d have her over for dinner and a drink anytime! If she brings Simon, bonus!

Seriously though, there is one line that is located in the back of the book that takes me by the throat, the heart, even my brain and just jerks everything to a halt as I realize this is the line of dialogue that boils it all down for me into one sentence. One perfect sentence. It describes a love so beautiful I had to find a tissue just to be able to see. He had to use artificial means to get his job done but he did it for her, for his broken woman. Of course, the line was uttered by my Simon.

(There is a spoiler quote here. To view it, go to Goodreads)

Note to Simon: With that sentence, Simon, you put this reader into a frenzy. If you were real, I’d stalk your ass.
Sincerely,
Me.

Note to Author, Willow Madison: I’d adore a short story or novella detailing you know who’s time in the cave… Just sayin!

We Were One Once by Willow Madison 5 Fabulous Stars!

we were one once: Book 1we were one once: Book 1 by Willow Madison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Written review to come when I've wrapped my head around the awesomeness that is this book. Okay, I've had time to wrap my mind and write my review, so here it is in all its glory...

This story grabbed me by the throat and would not let go until I finished it. If you enjoy dark reads, you’ll enjoy this book. If you enjoy stories that push the boundaries, this is the story for you. If you enjoy stories that take you on a ride and mind f*** you, this is the story for you. I enjoyed it. I recommend it.

I don’t want to provide any plot spoilers in this review because really, that would be bad for those who haven’t read it yet. To spoil the surprise, the utter goodness of what this story provides. I will say it was well written. I was drawn into the story immediately. I will talk about the characters and how I felt about them.

Simon… what can I say about Simon? He is my new book boyfriend, joining the ranks with Takeshi and a few other book boyfriends (yeah I’m a bit of a book slut). Simon is an awesome character who comes alive on the pages. His needs, his wants, had me from word one. His ‘product’ made me gasp.

Simon is dark. He is unapologetically, absolutely, hedonistically, beautifully dark. I loved him all the more for it. He was Alpha in a way that makes other Alpha men look weak. He enjoys what he enjoys and doesn’t apologize for it.

Though I love Simon, I didn’t like Simon until Grace. Grace is a fascinating character and I couldn’t help but fall for her just as Simon fell. He loved the many facets of Grace and I must say, there are many. Simon is a better person with Grace. Grace, as broken as she is, displays a strength that shines through on the page. There would be very few women who would have the strength to love Simon. Grace, beautifully damaged Grace, is one of those who bring light to Simon’s dark world.

This story worked for me. The characters worked for me. I reveled in it and them. I am going to enjoy book 2 now…

Review of Polar Bears Are Forever

Polar Bears are Forever: Book One Supernatural Enforcers AgencyPolar Bears are Forever: Book One Supernatural Enforcers Agency by E.A. Price
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this book. I have a new favorite author. This book contains every element I enjoy: Paranormal, Psychics, Werebears, Romance, Mystery...

I just discovered E.A. Price and feel like I struck gold! I have bought all of her other books as well, after reading this. Sure there are typos, but the story is excellent and it drew me in and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for more from this series, I really want to know who the 'boss' is. I have a feeling based on where it was leading but that could be a red herring... :) Loved it!

New Erotic Romance Release! Breaking Elena: Obsession

Click above cover or click HERE to buy at Amazon.com

When Elena Trainor found out she needed five thousand dollars quickly, she had no plan in mind. Then serendipity dropped into her lap. Things began to happen, plans fell into place. She didn’t know, couldn’t know, that behind the scenes, there was a puppet master. And she was the puppet…

This is the story of twenty year old Elena.

Elena makes a difficult choice and decides she has to break the law to get to where she needs to be. When she’s caught, she has to decide if she is going to play the only card she has… giving up her v-card to a man old enough to be her father…

WARNINGS: This is Part One of a novella. Coming soon is part two, Breaking Elena: Twisted. This story contains strong language in the form of dirty talk and cursing. This story is meant for adults only. This story also contains elements of age play, virgin first time sex. This is not a typical feel good romance story. It is an erotic love story but that love story is horrifyingly twisted. Read at your own risk...
